Jenna Brown – who sang for us in last week’s fantastic lunchtime recital – runs a wonderful series of concerts for (very) young people called Lilliput Concerts.
Lilliput Concerts are given by professional musicians, but their core audience is the very young, giving them (and often the adults who bring them) a first taste of high-class music in a young-person-friendly format.
The concerts bring a range of solo and ensemble performances from a range of instrumentalists (and singers), usually playing classical music, and are a great success.
Lilliput has been shortlisted for the Hoop Awards, and we’re suggesting that Bristol Song Recital Series supporters, who feel that they can, head to Hoop and vote for Lilliput. Or you could visit the this page on the Hoop website and book a ticket for next weekend’s (March 14th) concert, with the Partita Baroque ensemble.
To vote for Lilliput, go to Hoop Awards, click on the vote button and look for Lilliput under the ‘Best Family Entertainment’ section.
