Bristol Song Recitals

Beautiful music, beautifully sung in some of Bristol's great venues.

Obviously in the current situation our plans are fluid. It is certain that there will be no live Lunchtime Recitals until May at least; livestreamed performances are now on hold. However, we will be providing recordings, tutorials and other delights to keep you in the mood for singing. Keep checking, and subscribe to our email newsletter (button below) to stay in touch.

Where is St Stephen's? About us

From our performers

It was a Lover and his Lass

Our series of our currect performances is on hold over Easter. But enjoy this...

The encore from our recital last month: Charlotte Newstead and Stefan Hofkes perform Madeleine Dring's wonderful setting of Shakespeare's words.

There are many settings of this song in the canon, but this stands with the best of them - lively, humourous and virtuosic!

About Us

Bristol Song Recitals runs song-based concerts in the Bristol area. Although our concerts tend to concentrate on the classical repertoire, we also enjoy jazz, theatre songs, folk and many other styles. Most of our performers come from Bristol or have Bristol links, and we have strong ties with many choirs, schools and music organisations in Bristol.

Although our main activities are the lunchtime recitals which occur during some summer months in the centre of Bristol, we also arrange and support other concerts and events in the area.

Our March Series

Our March Series of Lunchtime Concerts begins on 4th March in Saint Stephen's. All concerts start at 1.10pm. They are free to enter, but we take a collection at the end to help pay for the hire of the church and administration costs.
