A big thank you to all those who came to the recital last week, to hear Charlotte Newstead and Stefan Hofkes perform some wonderful Fauré, Bellini and Quilter. Truly magnificent, and greatly appreciated on one of the few days when the sun was actually shining, filling Saint Stephen’s with some early spring warmth.
We continue – at the moment, anyway – with our recital this week, which features series curator Martin Le Poidevin with David Bednall, singing music by Vaughan Williams (the intriguing Four Poems of Fredegond Shove, and the ever-popular Songs of Travel, alongside George Butterworth’s Six Songs from a Shropshire Lad). The recital starts at 1.10pm in Saint Stephen’s.
4th March: Jenna Brown and Amelia Goodall combine for a fantastic recital of music for voice and violin. Including music by Vaughan Williams and Holst.
11th March: Music by Quilter, Bellini and Faure from Recital Series favourite Charlotte
18th March: Bass-baritone Martin sings Vaughan Williams' Songs of Travel, Butterworth's A Shropshire Lad and more!
